6 French Festivals you’ll want to go to

Festival season is well underway and where better to dance the nights away to some of your favourite bands and DJ’s than on the picturesque beaches, courtyards of french Chateau’s or on the banks of the Seine.  Here’s our rundown, of some of the must-attend French music festivals that you’ll want to pencil in your diary.

Big Festival

Vibe: Surf and beach, electronic and dance, there are a number of free stages  and two paid stages one with live bands the other called the big boîte ( boîte is french for nightclub) featuring DJ sets.

Calvi on the Rocks

Who’s Playing: Mark Ronson DJ Set, Soulwax and Agoria

Vibe: The festival you’ll want to attend with your girlfriends for a fun-packed beach electronic and funk party.  Expect sponsored tents from French fashion brand Ba&sh, pedicures at the Havaianas tent, massages by the sponsored Grazia tent and a festival box from My little box.

Macki Music Festival

Rock en Seine

Vibe: One of the largest festivals in France a mix of pop, hip-hop and rock

Terres de Son

Where: Monts (central France)
